Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous activity. Trails, weather, equipment and rider ability all carry risk of serious injury or death. By joining any MTB Outlaws ride, event or chapter meet-up, you acknowledge and accept this.
Your responsibility
- You ride at your own risk, at all times.
- You are responsible for your own bike, equipment and protective gear.
- You must wear a helmet on every ride.
- You are responsible for assessing trails, conditions and your own ability before riding.
- You must hold appropriate personal insurance if you require it.
Trail conditions
Trail descriptions, grades and route information on this site are provided in good faith but conditions change constantly. We make no guarantees about the safety, condition or rideability of any trail.
Group rides & events
Rides organised by chapters or members are informal and unguided unless explicitly stated. Ride leaders are volunteers, not qualified instructors or guides, and accept no liability for other riders.
Limit of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MTB Outlaws, its chapters, organisers and members accept no liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from participation in rides, events or use of any information on this site. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Under 18s
Riders under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for them at all times.
