Leave It Better

Trail
Stewardship

The trails don't build themselves and they don't fix themselves. If you ride them, you owe them. Here's how we look after the dirt that looks after us.

The Code

  • Pack out what you pack in — wrappers, tubes, tape, all of it.
  • Don't ride wet, fragile trails. Skid marks today are gullies tomorrow.
  • Stay on the line. Cutting corners kills berms.
  • Yield to walkers and horses. We're guests on most of this ground.
  • If you see damage, report it. Don't assume someone else will.

Dig Days

Each chapter runs regular trail work sessions — building, repairing, and clearing. Tools, gloves, and tea provided. No experience needed, just bring the willingness to graft.

Dig days will be posted on the Upcoming page once chapters have dates locked in.

Report Trail Damage

Spotted a washout, illegal cut, fallen tree, or access issue? Drop us a line and we'll get the right people on it — local chapter, landowner, or council.

Email trails@mtboutlaws.cc with the trail name, location, and a photo if you've got one.
